(Larger Image) Here's the "Before" picture of the hull. The paint peeled off the old barrier coat and there were small blisters between the fiberglass and barrier. Here the old barrier coat was ground off courtesy of Mike and Greg. That's bare fiberglass -no gelcoat. The previous owner lived aboard and didn't maintain the bottom.My dad bought the boat, had the bottom sandblasted to fiberglass, and had it coated with some type of epoxy that the paint didn't stick to.
