Entry for December 1, 2007 ![]() (Larger Image) Well it’s December and we’re still sailing. Good winds on Saturday forced four boats with sailors out into the elements. “And I, snug in my thermals and foul weather gear, had visions of sails and spray not be feared. Sorry… I was thinking about that Christmas poem when writing this. Anyways, Steve Plummer (Cloud Nine), Steve P (Misty II), Don and Nancy (Spirit), with Mike and me on the Ericson sailed west just short of Port Chicago. 15-18 knot winds and stronger gusts put the two Catalinas steadfastly in front. The Ericson, like the pesty bumble bee it resembles (yellow and black) refused to relent and remained close on their tails throughout the day. Misty II, who caught some dead spots going to weather, was fast on the downwind return to Antioch even against the bucking tide. 2007-12-03 04:52:37 GMT
