(Larger Image) I've been busy making a living and trying to hold on to my job. Sounds familiar? Well not to you retired folks I'm sure. Anyways, enough doom and gloom. This is Dave a newer sailor to the Antioch Marina on his Catalina 27 "Waterfront Property." I caught this picture of him going up Broad Slough on a Saturday afternoon. As I recall, the weather was mild with shifty and gusty W to WSW winds. We sailed to Collinsville weaving through fishing boats on the Sacramento. Dave sailed back down the slough and continued on to Pittsburg chasing Steve Plummer in his Cataline 30. Couldn't catch him. He rounded the mark and I turned early to get headstart back. I successfully fended him off on the downwind return. Took everything I had. He didn't feel like putting a pole up to pass me. Thanks Steve. I still feel victorious.
